Those mean Rooster's!!!

That mean Rooster bit my son today, but before this we told him that the rooster's were MEAT bird's and he did not agree. Now his tune has changed since the largest one attacked him. He is ready to KILL the rooster now. ha,ha,ha!! He can't wait to get revenge on that bird.

Blessed weekend

Our niece stopped by to visit us with her 6 children and mom. It was a really nice visit. Her youngest son Seth is 14 month's and this was our first time seeing him. They live in Florida and we don't see them very often. It was a pleasure. God has really lifted them up to do great things for him. Three of the six children are there nieces that they are taking care of. It was our first time meeting them as well and they were very sweet. I can't wait to visit them in September. The true blessing was when my sister-in-law had a mini bible study with the two of us last night. I love it when a godly woman will teach younger women. I was truly blessed. Now I am off to study some more as she left several pamphlets for me to use.

RJ getting some one on one time with Chris..he likes holding him and talking to him.

What a fun filled and great weekend

Friday we went blue berry picking and it was a blast! Yeah, I mean HOT. We only picked 2 gallon's, but that actually was enough and it was awesome. I enjoyed it a ton. Chris is such a good baby he had a good time as well. He fell asleep while being held by my friend's son, it was so cute.

Highlighting my Auntie Edwina

She is in her 70's and is my grandma's half sister, they have the same father.

This was a year ago at my grandma's funeral but I wanted to highlight her because this is the first time that I had met her as an adult. I had always heard about her through my grandma. Aunt Edwina lives in Chicago, which is where I was born so she remembered me as a baby.

I am so impressed with her because she still plays basketball on a "senior team" and she loves doing it. I have a newspaper clipping of her that she sent to us that highlighted the whole team. Randy and I both were very impressed by her youthfulness. She looked a lot like my grandma, but about 20 year's younger.

ENJOY!

I am amazed!

Although, I am VERY tired tonight, I sat down at the dinner table and simply marveled at how awesome God is. We now have 6 people at the dinner table. It really makes me so happy!

I smiled and said that now we just need our daughter's and my husband agreed and said "be patient" we may be getting them sooner than we think. We both are amazed at how God works and ever so grateful.

My earthly body is so tired and achy. My back isn't doing well, but I am here to tell you that my heart is happy and my soul is dancing with joy because of the many blessing that the Lord has graciously blessed us with this precious child to love. No matter what the future holds we'd love to keep a relationship with him forever! He is a handful but the more I look at his precious eyes and sweet smile I love him even more.

When I look back, it all seemed to happen really fast. It just goes to show that when I listen to the spirit in obedience, God will bless it. It truly is a priviledge to take care of this precious baby boy. He knows he is a boy too! He loves all of the boy's in this house. :0)

I'm still out numbered, but still the queen!

Top 10 things you would never hear me say...

1. No, please don't give me a back rub I like the aching feeling I get after being on my feet for hour's each day.

2. Don't bother fixing my plate.

3. Talk as loud as you want to at night when it is time to go to bed, I can listen to it ALL day and night long.

4. Don't clean up the kitchen tonight, I'll just wake up eager to clean it first thing in the morning.

5. No honey I don't NEED a extra book shelf for our many books that I have to go digging for in rubber maid container's.

6. Children sure you can PLAY your video games all day everyday and NEVER do anything else.

7. No, I don't ever want to be treated to a pedicure for my tired and aching feet.

8. I can live in an unorganized house forever as long as I can walk over the piles.

I guess I couldn't actually think of "ten". :)

Something very interesting...

Tonight I was looking up meaning's of names and here is what I got:

Randolph (RJ) means Rim, shield + Wolf (gaelic)
Ross means Bluff or cliff (gaelic)
Ryan mean Little king (gaelic)
"Chris" means bearer of christ and "Shaun" means God is gracious (hebrew) whole name "chrishaun"
Victoria means conquerer

I just thought that was very interesting and I won't look at Chris' name the same after reading that. :)

We have been very busy and adjusting to a little one in the home. Tonight is the first night that we've ate together at the table since Randy hurt is knee. It was nice. He still can't bend his knee but he is doing better each and every day.

Chris is getting use to us and stills sleeps through the night which is GREAT. God knew that I needed sleep at night. He has 4 teeth in and talks a lot. He talks really loud if he wants to get our attention. It is so funny. He head butted me right in the nose yesterday and I thought my nose wouldn't stop hurting..he laughed. He is all boy and boy and I use to that! He fits right in with our family so well. We love him and he loves us.

Chris is here!

We are so happy that lil' Chris is here! He is precious..and cutting several teeth all at the same time. I held ice for him to suck on and he just loved it.

Randy and I agree that we are "rusty", since it has been 9 whole years since there was a baby residing with us. We just figured out that he needs "2" naps a day. Ha,ha,ha! I actually thought something was wrong with him because he was crying so hard. I almost did it..."yes, you guessed it, I wanted to take him to the doctor". Let me explain, I am not the type to use the emergency room as a well check visit, but since it has only been a little over 24 hours since he has been here. Well, lets just say that I am still trying to figure him out. Don't laugh at me, now because I didn't act on my thought..ha! Once he fell asleep I understoond that he just needed another nap. Speaking of naps...he is the shortest nap taker that I know. Like 20 minutes! I thought I'd try to sleep with him, well by the time I dosed off he was awake.

He is as sweet as sugar, and a real busy little guy. Our sons love this little guy already and he is bonding to them quickly as well. It seems as though he is moving right along and catching up quickly. I am so thankful to have this opportunity to serve the Lord in this way. I am so amazed at how God answers prayer's. His way is ALWAYS best no matter what. I am so thankful to him.
I would have a picture added but my camera isn't working...boo hoo!!!

This is funny: I went shopping for Chris on Thursday to pick up a few item's that I thought he would need. Like a car seat, onesies, sheets for the pack n play...etc. Well later that evening Ms. Memory called me to get the details on how everything was going..BTW, Pastor Paul and his son Zach were working HARD with Randy to get the wood floor's in Chris' room(which turned out excellent), back to Ms. Memory, she asked me if I got him any clothes? I busted out laughing and said NO, because I had FORGOTTEN!!! If you can believe that, I really did forget to go back and look. She diagnosed me with CRS..."CAN'T REMEMBER SYNDROME". So for you other mother's out there who don't know what you have...maybe she can diagnose you too!!! ;0)

Our first visit with Chris

We drove to Rome, Georgia to visit with Chris and other family yesterday, after Randy's doctor appointment, which by the way went very well. He got his stitches out. He is doing well and on his way to healing..God is Good!

Back to our visit with Chris he is even more precious in person than on any picture. I wanted to bring him home with us right away! We are so excited that the Lord has brought him into our lives. Here is a picture of everyone that was there yesterday and all are my family. It was like a mini family reunion. :)
